Read-only widget catalog
Display widgets visualize incoming data:
- digital-readout / dual-readout — numeric value(s) with units; optional colour thresholds (per channel on the dual readout)
- on-demand-read — numeric value with a Read now button that fetches a fresh reading from the device immediately (gateway devices; see On-demand Read widget)
- gauge — analog arc dial with threshold markers
- line-chart — the dashboard's time range on a time axis: stored history for the range with live readings appended where they were measured, gaps left as gaps, on/off tags drawn as steps, one series per tag. Show the tags' alarm limits draws a dashed line at each alarm (red) and Watch (amber) limit (see threshold markers). Changing the dashboard's time range refreshes it in place. The time axis is rolling out account by account; until then the chart shows the last Points kept readings by order. The mobile app follows the same rollout: a time axis where it's on, the last readings otherwise.
- bar-chart — time-series bars
- kpi-card — headline number with a sparkline
- tank-level / progress-bar — fill/level visualizations; the progress bar can draw the tag's alarm limits (see threshold markers below)
- status-pill / led-indicator — discrete state indicators. The LED indicator takes one tag or several: tick two or more tags on the Data tab for one LED per tag (a panel of digital inputs, say), then name each LED under LED labels in Configuration. The LED colour and text come from the States list: an LED takes the highest state whose value its reading has reached.
- signal-strength — RSSI bars
- text-label / clock / world-clock — labels and time
- last-updated — when a device last sent data, as a date and time in coloured digits, plus how long ago. The digits turn amber once nothing has arrived for Stale after minutes, so anyone reading the dashboard can tell how current it is when a gateway goes offline. It remembers up to 30 days of silence.
- event-log — recent events table
- device-status-card / connectivity-summary / gateway-fleet — fleet health at a glance
- map-track — GPS position on a map
Analog / industrial (SCADA-style) widgets
Realistic, HMI-style widgets for process and machine dashboards:
- needle-gauge — classic dial with a sweeping needle and coloured red/amber/green zones (set the zones under Configuration → thresholds).
- level-meter — vertical bar or thermometer (choose under
style) with a coloured scale and tick marks. Can draw the tag's alarm limits (see below). - fan-indicator — a fan that spins; its speed follows an RPM value, or it just runs/stops on an on/off value.
- equipment-status — a pump / valve / motor / compressor symbol whose colour, label, and running animation are driven by device state (edit the states under Configuration → states).
- nixie-display / seven-segment — retro numeric readouts (glowing nixie tubes or a 7-segment panel). Numbers only.
- direction-dial — a compass/heading dial for wind direction or bearing (0–360°).
- battery-indicator — battery charge level with an optional charging animation.
- led-bargraph — a segmented VU-style bar, coloured by threshold zone.
- flow-segment — a pipe segment with animated flow whose speed follows the value.
- stack-light — an andon tower lamp lit by device state.
- status-matrix — a grid of state cells showing many tags at once (bind multiple tags on the Data tab).
- motorized-valve — a valve symbol showing its % open position.
Fleet widgets (many stations)
For a fleet of stations that all carry the same tags. Both need a plan that includes premium widgets and are being rolled out account by account — see Fleet views, which also explains exactly how the numbers are computed.
- fleet-kpi — one number across every station carrying a tag type (Tag subtype): the average, minimum or maximum in engineering units, the fraction in range, or how many are in Alert, on Watch or offline. The counts line underneath reads 174 / 176 in range · 1 watch · 1 alert · 2 offline; the tile turns amber or red when any station is on Watch or in Alert. Optional Gateway filter.
- station-list — every station as a row, one column per tag type (Columns (tag subtypes)), each cell coloured by that tag's level with the limit in words on hover, and Last seen. Sort by level puts Alert, then Watch, then offline stations first; offline rows are greyed. Row click opens a dashboard with a station variable, with that station selected, or the device page.
Neither widget is bound on the Data tab — both fetch the fleet themselves from each station's latest reading in the last hour, not from stored history.
Threshold markers
The progress-bar and level-meter widgets have a Show the tag's alarm limits option in Configuration. Turn it on and the widget draws a marker at the tag's alarm limit and another at its Watch value, with a caption such as Alarms below 4 mg/L · Watch below 5 mg/L. The line-chart has the same option (time axis only), drawing the limits as dashed lines across the chart. The markers come from the limit set on the tag itself, so they move when you change the limit — nothing to retype in the widget. See Normal, Watch and Alert.
Bind each to a device + tag. Zones/states are edited in the widget's Configuration tab; multi-tag widgets (status-matrix) take several tags on the Data tab. For control widgets that write back to a device, see interactive widgets.
To arrange these symbols on a process diagram and connect them with live animated pipes, see Build a P&ID / SCADA mimic screen.
