Telemetry, events, and alerts
- Telemetry — numeric measurements (temperature, voltage…). Drives charts and gauges. Retained per your plan.
- Events — discrete facts:
device/online,device/offline, faults, system notices. Shown in the Events feed. - Alerts — threshold breaches. A reading crossing a tag's alarm limit is recorded as a
device/alertevent and listed on the Active alarms page (see Normal, Watch and Alert); a rule firing on it is delivered via the action types you configured.
Telemetry streams live to dashboards; events and alerts also push in real time. See the event types reference for the full list.
