Reports
A dashboard shows now. A report answers a question about a period: what did the nitrate readings on every station do last month, which stations stopped reporting, what was the average and the worst reading per tag. You build it on screen, read it there, and download it as CSV, Excel or PDF to hand to whoever asked.
Reports are being rolled out account by account. If Reports isn't in your menu yet, contact support.
Who can do what
| Role | Reports |
|---|---|
| Owner, Admin | Build, run, export, save reports and schedule email delivery |
| Operator | Build, run and export |
| Viewer | Build and run on screen; no export |
A member whose Device access is limited to some devices builds reports over those devices only, and sees only the saved reports and schedules they created themselves. See Team members and roles.
Two kinds of report
- Telemetry trend — readings over time for the stations and tags you pick, in engineering units. Charted on a time axis, one chart per unit (°C never shares an axis with mg/L), plus the average, minimum and maximum per series and the distribution (median, p95, p99) per tag.
- Data completeness — which stations and tags reported in the period, how complete each one's data is, when each was last seen, and two lists worth acting on: tags that have never reported (usually a wrong register address or an unwired sensor) and silent stations (nothing at all in the period, with no reason such as "polling paused" to explain it).
Building a report
Go to Reports → New report. The left panel is the question; the right side is a live preview that updates as you change it.
- Type — Telemetry trend or Data completeness.
- Stations — all of them unless you tick some. Tags — likewise (telemetry only). A tag stored under a different name than it displays is marked; it may chart empty.
- Range — a relative range (last 24 hours … last 90 days) or Custom range… with a start and an end. Times are in your browser's timezone, and so are the dates in the exported files.
- Interval —
autopicks a bucket that fits the range; or fix one (15m,1h,1d…). - Aggregate — average, minimum, maximum, sum, number of readings or last value per interval.
- View — Chart draws the series; Table lists every station and tag per interval, and is the view that exports every row.
Run full report runs the same question with a longer time budget than the preview; use it when the preview says the range is too broad.
What the notices mean
- Your plan keeps N days of history — a longer range is shortened to that, and the report says so. A range that lies entirely before it is refused. Upgrade for a longer history.
- Too many points to chart — use a coarser interval or the Table view (one click away).
- Showing the busiest series — more series than fit the chart; the Table view and the export have them all.
- Showing 500 of N rows — the screen shows a sample; the export has every row.
Exporting
CSV, Excel and PDF buttons sit above the figures. Exports work on every plan and contain every row of the report — the screen is a preview, the file is the record. Dates in the file are printed in the report's timezone, the one shown next to the range.
Saving a report
Give it a name and Save report — it appears under Reports → Saved reports, where you can open it (it runs fresh each time), re-run, edit, export or delete it. Saving and scheduling need a paid plan, which also sets how many reports you can save; building, running and exporting work on every plan. If your plan stops including saved reports, the ones you saved stay readable, runnable and exportable — you just can't change them or add more.
