The Synacl mobile app
The Synacl app for iPhone and Android connects to the same account as the web app. Anything you change on one shows up on the other. Search for Synacl in the App Store or Google Play.
Signing in
Sign in with your email and password. You can then turn on a passkey so Face ID, Touch ID or your fingerprint signs you in next time (see passkeys). Forgot password? on the sign-in screen emails you a reset link. New accounts are created on the web.
If you've been invited to a team, the app opens the same workspace the web app would — the one you used last, or else (when you have no devices of your own) the team you joined most recently. There's no workspace switcher in the app yet: choose the workspace from the profile menu on the web, then sign in again on the phone and it opens the one you chose.
The four tabs
- Home shows your fleet at a glance, or any dashboard you pick as your home screen.
- Fleet has your devices, gateways and monitors. Open a device for live values, a history chart per tag (last hour, day or week), controls for actuators, and its alert thresholds. Open a gateway to restart it, push its config, update firmware, or open remote debug for its live log.
- Alerts is your events feed. Filter it by severity or type and scroll back through your plan's retention window.
- Automations has your rules, including rules that fire when something happens, your actions, and (where enabled) macros.
Dashboards
Open Settings → Dashboards to view, build and edit dashboards. On the phone, widgets stack in a single column, and every widget type from the web app draws natively: charts, gauges, the industrial (SCADA) widgets and controls, uptime, fleet views and maps. The one exception is the P&ID schematic, which shows an Open on the web card that takes you to that dashboard in your browser, already signed in.
Every widget shows the device and tag it displays under its title. Tap ⓘ or long-press the header to see its full binding: device, tag, gateway and last value with its time.
Dashboards with variables (a station picker, say) show each variable as a chip above the widgets. Tap it to switch station. Tapping a row in a station list opens its drill-down dashboard with that station already picked.
Add widget on the phone offers most types, set up with the same defaults as the web. A few are set up on the web: widgets that need several tags (dual readout, status matrix, map track), the station list, and anything you want to tune in a list, such as thresholds, states, selector positions or world-clock time zones. Editing a widget on the phone leaves those lists as they are. Industrial and fleet widgets are offered when your plan includes premium widgets.
Precise layout is a web job: editing a dashboard on the phone keeps your widgets but lines them up in one column.
Monitors
Websites, APIs and services you watch with monitors are under Fleet → Monitors, with 24-hour, 7-day and 30-day availability, the incident log and response times. You can add and edit probes and heartbeats from the phone.
Notifications
The app sends you push notifications when a device, gateway or monitor goes offline, when a threshold alert fires, and when a rule's action is Push notification. Set what you receive in Settings → Notifications:
- a master switch and a minimum severity;
- quiet hours in your local time (critical alerts still come through);
- a This device card showing whether this phone can receive notifications, with a Send test notification button.
Team members receive the workspace's alerts too (a member limited to some devices gets alerts for those devices only). Everyone's notification settings are their own: turning push off or setting quiet hours on your phone changes nothing for anyone else, and removing someone from the team stops theirs.
If notifications don't arrive, see I'm not getting push notifications.
Help and feedback
Settings → Help Center has these articles, What's new has the changelog, and Report a bug sends us a report (with an optional screenshot) straight from your phone.
